Xacbal

For the Xacbal Delta Hydroelectric Power Plant in Guatemala, we provided a specialized engineering solution to construct a high performance water conduction tunnel through challenging mountainous terrain. Working with Obras Subterráneas de Guatemala, we deployed custom steel formwork that enabled 360 degree full round concreting in a single phase. This advanced approach eliminated joints to ensure a superior hydraulic surface while significantly accelerating the construction timeline in a remote high altitude location. By combining a robust hydraulic design with efficient onsite logistics, we delivered a cost effective and durable solution that supports the region's renewable energy production.
